Touchdown Fernandez Risedence

After a successful overnight camp and hike in Mt. Batulao, we headed to Fernandez Residence to take our lunch and rest for a while to regain our energy. We planned our side trip near the vicinity of Lemery Batangas.
There's a lot of beach resort in the place, but we chose "La Suena Beach Resort" located at the native shore of Lemery boasting not only the breath taking view and warm water of the sea but also of its state-of-the-art facilities inspired by Spanish and Filipino Hospitality

The ambiance of the place is totally perfect, you can choose either to swim in the pool or at the beach. Worries will be forgotten through exploring all the attractions of this exceptional beach resort. We enjoyed staying here; we'll definitely come back soon.

After our side trip, we decided to return to the Fernandez Residence to have a movie marathon and socials. Early next day we headed back to Manila.

After my successful climb at Mt. Balagbag in Rodriguez Rizal last week, I joined a Mt. Batulao climb organized by Angelo Bryan, a friend of mine.

Mt. Batulao is a famous destination in Nasugbu Batangas of mountaineers, having a rolling slopes and two trail connected if you prefer to traverse the mountain.

We decided to go to the "new trail", which offers a nice view of Mt. Batulao. The old trail, om the other hand, offers a challenging trail, so it varies on how you enjoy hiking.

After reaching the campsite, we took some rest, and decided to trek headed to the summit.

Mossy Forest

We explore the "mossy forest" along the new trail. The ambiance is so relaxing. We encountered fog along the trail,  which caused us to ask each other whether we are on the right track. We took some pictures with every peak and enjoyed the view all the way to the summit.

Summit

We were able to reach the summit after 1hour of trekking. We're a bit surprise when we saw a vendor offering us to buy  "Mountain Dew" at the summit area. I felt bad that time, because some of the climbers patronizing this activity. We're thankful for having clearing at the summit. Neighboring mountain and Taal Lake can be seen.

OTW to sidetrip

We stayed overnight at the new trail campsite. The next day, we pursued our planned  sidetrip near the house of Alvin. We took our lunch at Fernandez Residence near Lemery Batangas, then we headed to La Suena Brisa Resort.

  This is such a sweet escape to a busy life in the city. Special thanks to Kuya Allan for a hassle-free ride, to Alvin and his family for accommodating us and to Angelo Bryan for organizing this event.
